PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

Thankful for yet another beautiful day, although it is raining outside. Sometimes we often forget the simple beauty in the things life brings us because we are blinded by the perception of what those around us LABEL as beauty. Let us not forget that everything was created in its own way, with its own special features that make them stand out. Whether those things are on the surface or held from deep within, as they say "BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER". nO ONE is perfect for with MAN comes many flaws. But it is sometimes those IMPERFECTIONS that make us UNIQUELY PERFECT. Embrace your PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS for they are yours. Recognize your strengths and weaknesses because you can not be WHO U R MEANT 2 be if you don't KNOW WHO U R!!

REALIGN URSELF

You have good days and you have bad days and when it's all said and done we live to see another day. It's amazing how we soon  forget how STRONG we are when we are in the midst of our trials. GOD IS GOOD and always will be. The last couple of weeks have been chaotic while I try and maintain balance. It hasn't been easy but I continue to fight through it everyday. It is time to get realigned. It is time to find and create the balance that is necessary for me to maintain a the best quality of life possible. Not just for myself but for my daughter as well. We all have things that we go through that at times may seem unbareable. But if we just stop committed to GOD's plan we will be just fine. We are not perfect and HE doesn't expect us to be. But what he does expect is for us to be is DILIGENT. Always remember that the plans we have for ourselves are far LESS GREAT than the plans GOD has for us. Take the time to listen!! NOT ONLY WITH YOUR EAR BUT WITH YOUR HEART! Don't allow the ways of this world steer you from what is real.

Random Words

IT'S amazing how time will never stop for us but we spend soo much of our lives wasting time!! EMBRACE THE MOMENT!! You only have one lyfe>> Live it to the fullest.. We get soo caught up in the hustle and bustle of the everyday bullshit that we forget to be grateful and humble. We walk around with enormous chips on our shoulder as if the ENTIRE WORLD is against us. We forget the value of friendship and loyalty and we live in a world that exploits the truth soo much it soon becomes UNREAL!! We constantly search for love in a world that seems HEARTLESS and then wonder why we end up lonely. Time is never promised to anyone yet it is the one thing that never stops!!

I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Counseling and through this journey I have learned some enlightening information. I speak about my mom a lot because she is a MAJOR part of my world and I want people to be informed about MENTAL ILLNESS within the family construct. It is something that a large percentage of people deal with, especially within the MINORITY community. The sad part is we don't get treated for it and we live an life full of constant roller coasters of highs and lows. Now please don't misunderstand what I am saying when I say getting treatment. Find someone to talk to, learn new ways to cope, change how you not only view yourself and those around you, but how you view life as a whole. I've watched my mom struggle for the last three years and it has pained me to see her this way. I have done everything from enroll into pharmacy tech school to educate myself about meds so that I could educate her and help her and although I am pursuing my master's for my own personal career goals, i also know that it is a process that will help me help my mom. Meds are only a small facet of mental illness. Therapy and finding the right support group is key as well. It is also VERY IMPORTANT that the person with the illness as well as the family and or their support system to EDUCATE themselves. You CANNOT treat what you don't understand. Take it  from me because i fight through these trenches everyday and without taking the opportunity to educate myself I would not be able to so what I do. GOD IS GOOD.

Hectic Times

Life has definitely been mad crazy lately. I can appreciate it though because it helps me keep alot of things in perspective. It has definitely allowed me to grow in this short amount of time. I took a much needed road trip out to Vegas to prepare my dad for his move to Dallas so that he can heal and rehabilitate himself and raise my sister in an amazing environment around family. I met two amazing aunts who have heard soo much about but never had a chance to meet because they both live out of state. GOD is TRULY AMAZING and I am FOREVER THANKFUL for the things that HE has revealed to me within these last few weeks. I finally received my dissolution of marriage papers and now that chapter is finally finished. I feel RENEWED, like a NEW WOMAN. I have let go of many people and things and I am in the true process of reinventing my life. My AMAZING DAUGHTER will be 14 this Saturday and I am EVER SO HONORED to be her mom. GOD had blessed with something soo amazing. She makes me want to do and be better. I want only the best for her and as much as I want to protect her from the evils of the world I can only prepare her for the Battle. Take the time to reflect on the things that have happened in your life. There is an awesome lesson at the END OF EACH CHAPTER!!
