Embracing The Journey

Often times you hear me speak about "The Journey" or "The Process" and today I can humbly stand here and say that I am definitely embarking on my own journey. I have decided to take the very same advice that I give you all regarding "Stepping Out on Faith" and "Letting Go of Fear". 

As you all know, I started this blog in 2011, about a year after starting my Master's program and four years into my mom's battle with Mental Disease. I must say that I have definitely come a very long way. I have gone through my own trials and tribulations and still I come out triumphant. I owe ALL OF THIS to THEE MOST HIGH!! There is NO OTHER explanation for how I have remained so strong and steadfast. The motivation, inspiration and words of wisdom that I pass on to all of you, are the very same words that allow me to push forward everyday. I hear myself talking to you guys and find myself laughing as I know deep within, I have the answers to the questions that I seek within ME. It's the very same thing that I tell each and every one of you day in and day out.

Well, now I have embarked on a Purpose-filled Journey, MY Purpose. I have started my Life Coaching business and as I update my blog more frequently, you will hear me make more mention of my website and my other blog as well. I am sooo excited to finally have My Dreams become a Reality. My website is still being built, however it is definitely up and running. I am Thankful for each and every one of you who come and read my blog, or follow me on my other social media sites like Snapchat, Facebook, etc.  It means a lot to know that people actually look forward to seeing what I have to say or post. I am truly humbled.

Remember to always choose yourself first. It is important that you stay Mindful of your own personal needs as well as the needs of those around you. Like the instructions on the plane go, "Put your own mask on first before you assist anyone else." You are your most precious cargo. 

In this life, you are either Living or Existing and I choose to Live. It's time for many of you to do the same thing. It's time to take inventory of your own needs and wants and start to prioritize what is most important in your life for the betterment of you. It's time to Embark on Your Own Journey! It's time to Embrace the Journey, know that it is your time to put out your truest intention to BE the Best You Possible. The only person and/or thing stopping you is you.

Standing In A Place of Gratitude

GRATITUDE!!! How often we leave this word out of our everyday life. Often times, we lack the Gratitude needed to live an Abundant life. So often, we equate happiness with gratitude, however not in the context that we should. We live life as if happiness is the very thing that brings gratitude, when in fact it is the very opposite. Gratitude is the very thing that brings happiness. How can one exist in life and not show gratitude towards the very things that we take for granted? The very things like waking up daily, waking up daily with a sound mind and all faculties functioning properly. The smell of the ocean breeze, the sound of the birds that fly softly by the window singing songs of life, the bees that buzz ever so freely in the garden, searching for the nectar that lies with each beautiful flower planted with love into the soil. The very things that require nothing from us except admiration and gratitude for the simple beauties that make life so wondrous. 
Life truly begins the moment we become Grateful. Grateful without receiving anything. Grateful without personal gain. Grateful because life can't exist any other way. Life is about Humility, Love and Law. Having an understanding of all three and then living out those very things through Gratitude is an unbelievable feeling. Being Grateful for the knowledge, Grateful for the opportunity to grow and gain love and abundance on levels beyond what you can ever imagine. However, all of these things can never be possible without Gratitude, without Humility. 
That which is created is never greater than that which created it. If you truly know and understand that, then you understand that you exist because the Father has made that possible and it is through the sheer knowing of that, that you show your utmost Gratitude to that which has given you Life and Law. 
Throughout this thing called Life, I have learned many a Lesson and I am still learning as each day passes. It is important that we open up a space to receive all Gifts from The Father, whether we feel we deserve those Gifts, or regardless of the fact that it may look entirely different that what we expected it to. Some things in this life are not for us to understand, however it is for us to receive Graciously in the knowing that the Father makes NO MISTAKES and Will give to us according to Our Works and most importantly HIS WORD. 
As I sit here reflecting on the journeys I have taken in this life, I am filled with Gratitude because without the lessons that have come along with those journeys, I would not be able to stand here today and speak Life into those who choose to listen. It is because of my trials and tribulations that I can stand before you knowing that I am flawed, yet in that knowing I understand that it is those very flaws that have created a space of empathy, humility and patience. Those very flaws have opened up a space for me to understand that as much as I give, I must be able to receive and know that I am deserving of the very things that the Father has for me.
I must also understand that with this knowing comes a great level of responsibility. Not just a responsibility to myself, a responsibility to those around me. Hence, why I have kept this blog going for so long. You just never know who is listening and waiting for "The Light and Love" that you have to share. Like the old saying goes, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Take the time to be the Student. Take the time to sit back for a minute and be open to the Truth that we do not know it all and that there is so much more that we have to learn and it all starts with BEING GRATEFUL!!

Lessons

It's funny sometimes how life can take a swift turn in a totally opposite direction. Without warning everything you know to be true has been shaken up, turned upside down, and totally rearranged. All the while, you are left standing there trying to figure out what in the hell just happened and how come nobody told you that there was going to be a change of plans. The plans that we often have for ourselves are never really plans once they fully play out. We find out that they were merely avenues of life in which a lesson was awaiting to be learned. Most times we didn't even realize the lesson was something that we needed to learn until we have learned it.
Many of us believe that we are already equipped with the skills and knowledge we need to "make it". As we mature and gain wisdom, we innerstand that that is so far from the Truth. Life is a continuous journey of growth and knowledge and it is only those that choose to seek who will find the truth and knowledge that their soul desires.
Often times you hear me speak about the here and now, about the importance of being present to life the very moment you are experiencing it. Well, that's where you will find life's most precious and greatest gifts and lessons. The only thing REAL is right here, right now, not yesterday, not tomorrow, not five minutes from now or five hours from now. Don't miss out on the greatest parts of your life living in a state of sleep or resistance. Be open to everything life has for you good or bad because in every lesson there is a Gift.
It has been said that your greatest moment can be found during your greatest failure, but that my friends is up to you. You must be willing to let go of every judgment and or pre-conceived notion that you have and be open to new thoughts, a renewed awareness and a new way of life. In the words famous words of Lao Tzu - "If you want to become full, let yourself be empty."

The Power of Awareness

Awareness can only take place in the very moment you are in it. As your awareness expands, so does the possibilities of your life. You hear with a different pair of ears, you see life with a different set of eyes. Your vision is clear and your thoughts no longer exist in chaos. Life begins to take on a different meaning. You no longer move in the same manner. As awareness expands, food doesn't taste the same, flowers don't have the same scent, the birds even sing a different song. Colors are more vibrant and the limits life once had no longer exist. Your entire existence changes. What once had meaning doesn't seem so meaningful anymore. In that moment of awareness, the Truth becomes something that you stand in more and more. The grey area that was once created to help deal with reality begins to fade and life's journey becomes very clear and extremely simple. The complexities of life begin to all make sense and although old questions are finally being answered, new questions are definitely being asked. As completion takes place, new beginnings start to form and your TRUE life begins.

Is A Relationship Just Another Responsibility?

I recently had a conversation where relationships between men and women were the central topic. The comment that had me thinking was a statement about the person saying the he doesn't need a woman because he knows how to cook, clean, sew and anything else that I'm assuming he felt was the duty and responsibility of a woman. 

Although, I understood completely where he was coming from with regard to being self-sufficient, I didn't agree. However, it did make me want to ask if all he sees a woman for is her responsibility to cook, clean, sew, and keep a good house. As I sat there and thought about his answer, I thought to myself, what about love and companionship? What about those small intricate things that a woman can do, the way in which a woman truly loves and nurtures. What about the things that, no matter how self-sufficient, you just can't do them without a woman, or even if it is done (not by a woman) it won't have the same effect, touch and or meaning. Look, I GET IT! I felt the same way at one point and time, until I realized that I do need a man because I need and desire LOVE and COMPANIONSHIP, the love and companionship that only a man can provide. The way in which THE CREATOR intended for it to be.

It saddens me to see so many lose sight of what love really is. It seems as it LOVE is viewed as a responsibility and or a duty. I guess I'll just have to ponder on this conversation. Like the old saying goes, "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus." There is definitely two very different perspectives shared, but communication and keeping an open mind will keep the two balanced and able to meet on a common ground.

The Importance Of Language

So many times we have heard the saying, "Be careful of what you say." and so many times we ignore those very words and continue to say things without any real understanding of what it is we are truly putting out into the Universe. We have no real clue of the very seed we are sewing with the very words that we speak.
If you are a follower of my blog, then you have heard me say that, "Everything exist in language." The very words you speak have life once you release them from your lips. It is important to understand that we are an active source of energy and that very energy is transferred by the very words we speak and the actions in which we take each and every time that we speak and move. Many of you have also heard me say that it is imperative to, "Speak life into your life." Often times we spend more of our time and energy speaking and focusing on the struggle, hence opening up the space for constant struggle. It is important and it is time to change the narrative. Speak a different existence into existence and then immediately take action towards that existence.
Before you do these things, one must also think about these very things. Think about the life you truly want and then speak it into existence. Everything it is that you truly desire in your heart, the universe will make a way to bring it to fruition, you need only to take a step. As it is written, "As a man thinketh, so shall it be."

Truly Experiencing The World

There is more than one way to experience the world. In order to truly experience the world around you, you must expand your self-awareness and or consciousness. You must have the ability to see pass the surface of what is in front of you. This type of growth takes us into a self that is completely free and open to a new world. You must be free within yourself in order to experience freely the world around you. This is when you live a life unbounded and unconcerned, centered in peace, complete and whole.

Many people are so closed off in their consciousness and desire to seek and experience new things, that they miss out on truly experiencing the world and all of its glory and wonder. You must be open; open to a new way of thinking, a new way of perceiving life. You must be open to change; a change of scenery, a change within your circle of friends, hell a change in your life overall. You can't expect change while doing the exact same thing that you have always done.

Once you grow in awareness you will begin to feel a sense of freedom that you did not notice before. A freedom that has always existed, you just were not conscious enough to see it. Your vision was skewed and limited. Now your vision is limitless and sees no boundaries. The impossible is now possible. The world in which you live in is more vibrant, the breeze is more refreshing, the ocean air is much more crisp. You can now taste the very essence of life. The way in which you experience life is much richer. You are now able to see the world around you immersed in beauty and substance. Priceless images that the mind captures through mental notes on landscapes etched in memory.

What you must know, is that you were created complete, magnificent, unique, and whole. It is the stages of you that change. Those stages that I speak of are your levels of awareness. As you expand your awareness, you begin to see with the eyes of your soul and allow yourself to unmask the beauty, the truth, and everything that is real. And in that moment you are allowing yourself to truly experience the world around you.
