DON'T LOOK BACK

As you journey through life you will grow to learn that your past is insignificant. Often times, we allow the past to define the present and the future. Regardless of what your past has entailed, each day is a new day to write a new story and start new beginnings. It is impossible to reach greatness that is right before you, while you are constantly looking back. Whatever is behind you is meant to be there.

Now, is the time to decide what it is that you want to do. Do you want to continue holding on to something or someone that you can't change? Or would you rather focus on the here and now and BE PRESENT to what is in front of you, right here and right now? Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Your past does not matter!! It never has. It only continues to matter because you continue to focus on it. Until you stop focusing on it, it will continue to affect the very way you view yourself. Learn from the past and move forward, but don't get stuck there. Your past does not have to haunt you, you don't have to carry it around with you.

Imagine this, you wake up one day, get in your car and the only gear that works is Reverse, but everywhere you needed to go was in Drive. When the gears on your car start to get stuck, the car can't move, it can't go forward. When that happens, you immediately take your car to the mechanic to get it fixed. Well, think of yourself in the same way. Getting stuck in the past or reverse, is no good for you. You can't move forward and now you are either stuck or moving backwards. If you value your car enough to make sure it is moving forward and working effectively, why wouldn't you do the same for yourself?

Clearing A Pathway For Abundance

Everyone deep down desires to live a life of abundance. Financial abundance, a fruitful and abundant family and love life, good health, amongst a plethora of other things. However, many will never fill those desires because they haven't cleared a pathway to receive the things in which they desire. Living a life of abundance is in fact a way of life. It's about how you think and the actions that follow those thoughts. It is one thing to want or to desire something and it is another thing to do something about it.

Many desire great things, but don't believe that they are deserving of those very things they desire and because of that belief they decide not to take action. Abundance is completely unrelated to the very things that exist outside of oneself. In fact, it has everything to do with what exist on the inside. Everything from thoughts, to motives, emotions, and even how one speaks to oneself. Abundance is not based solely on the material gains that one may seek. If you think and move in abundance, then you shall grow in abundance as well. But, please innerstand that I did not say to just think, I also said move. You must put actions to those very thoughts.

Clearing a pathway for a life of abundance is not hard to do. It requires only a few things like, discipline, patience, willingness, open-mindedness and change, just to name a few. You will need to be open to the change that is going to take place during this journey. You must be willing to accept change and make certain changes in your daily life like your thought process and your actions. You must be patient because this process will not be easy and it is not going to happen overnight. There will be joy, pain, happiness, sadness, and some tears on the road to an abundant life, but that is simply life. Be diligent, focused and disciplined. Remember that those desires you hold in your heart require action.

Start to move with intention and speak the very things you want. Now is the time to change how you think and how you speak. Speak LIFE and ABUNDANCE into your life and watch your desires manifest!

THE "MUDDINESS" OF FEELINGS

Feelings are defined as an emotional state or reaction. Feelings are also defined as a "belief". Belief is defined as a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing. Now let's break this down further. As individuals, we usually attach feelings or get emotional or reactive to the people, things, and or ideas that we trust, that we "believe" mean something or hold some sort of value. However, often times being in our feelings and becoming reactive or making decisions based on those feelings and or beliefs can be detrimental.

Feelings are not a bad thing, but getting stuck in them can be. In order to move pass your circumstance, whether you have been hurt, wronged, dealt an injustice, or whatever, it is important that you acknowledge how that circumstance and person/people involved have made you feel, so that you can work on moving forward. Denial of any kind is a definite way of causing oneself to stay stuck in the grasp of something or someone mentally and emotionally.

There is a muddy area when dealing with feelings. An area that can get pretty dirty and leave you feeling tired, filthy, and just uuggghhh. It is extremely important that you are aware of your feelings so that you can always stay balanced and centered. If you don't seek to attain this level of self-awareness, you will become more and more reactive as time and circumstances progress, causing one to make poor and often irrational decisions.

There are various steps one can take to better manage and deal with feelings. First, take a deep breath and relax your mind and spirit. Second, think about who or what has caused you to have the feelings you have. Once you have found the source of your feelings, acknowledge them. Acknowledge what exact feelings you are experiencing, acknowledge why you are feeling them (who or what brought about the feelings) and then sit still for a minute as you process it all. Third, you need to ask yourself, are these "feelings" that you are finding yourself stuck in going to change the reality of the situation? Are these feelings going to allow you to move forward freely and successfully? Once you are able to remove your feelings from the situation you are currently in, you will be able to see and move with more clarity. You will be less reactive when dealing with the person and or situation, therefore creating less chaos and unneeded stress.

It is time that we all start to live and work smarter and not harder. For every action there is a reaction and for every cause there is an effect. It is important that we Innerstand that because when we do we will begin to make better decisions that will lead to a smoother life. There will be bumps along the way, but we can definitely minimize the impact of those bumps by making smarter decisions.

YOUR DO IS NOT YOUR WHO

Often times we confuse what we do with who we are. We fail to realize that our "DO" and our "WHO" are two different things. Unfortunately, history has proven time and time again, that so many are judged by what they do. Many people are valued by how they contribute. For example, a person can be of good moral fortitude, honest and faithful, but if the individual is not successful or is not "doing" something worthy of praise in the eyes of others, then he or she is not valued. Another example would be the individuals who may not have made the best decisions at one point and time in their life and because of those choices others have judged them on their actions and not who they are. To further the example, a man is caught stealing, now although the premise for this decision is because his family is hungry and he had no other means of providing at that time. Society will look at this individual and label him a thief and or a criminal. While others may see him as a caring parent trying to take care of his family by any means necessary.

Other examples may be the extremely successful business man/woman, who to the naked eye appears successful, happy and together. Defined by a great career, often times a career that is not being lived from the true self. A career that is merely something he/she is great at, "just business" and has absolutely nothing to do with the individual outside the realm or scope of that business. Other times, an individual can become enthralled in their career that they lose sight of who they are.

Which leads me back to my initial point. Who you are can be much more valuable that what you do. It's important that we don't confuse the two. Now, don't get me wrong. That is not to say that what you do is not invaluable and or not important because it is. But, in the midst of you doing what you do, don't lose sight of who you are. When you acknowledge and live from your true self, then you Innerstand how to separate the two. It is a process, but a process well worth the journey.

YOU ARE ENOUGH

It's amazing how much social acceptance matters to many if not most. The level of self-acceptance seems almost non-existent. Many seek attention through artificial and or superficial gains, that further separate the individual from their true self. It's time to realize and over-stand that YOU ARE ENOUGH!

You're very essence, your very being, your very existence is enough. You are equipped with everything you need to succeed and flourish. It all starts from within. It all starts with the over-standing that YOU ARE IT! Only you can do you and no one can do you better than you. The moment you over-stand that, is the moment that your life will do a complete 180. There is a shift that needs to take place from within. There is a level of acceptance and acknowledgment that needs to happen. There is a space that must be cleared out and filled with love. Not the love from someone else, but filled with the love of self. A love that is so fulfilling and so epic. A love that is Pure, Supreme, and Complete.

It is time to embrace, accept, love, embody, and be fulfilled with all that you are. It's time to know that YOU ARE ENOUGH!!

LIVING IN THE NOW

RIGHT NOW, in this very moment what are you thinking about? Are you present to "THE NOW". I mean like right now in this very moment. Probably NOT! Why is that? Why are most people not connected to life in the very moment they are living it? Most times people are too busy lost in their thoughts about yesterday and the day before, and the day before that, and the next day and the next week. Thinking about things you can't change and the things that are not even promised. The only thing real and factual is RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW! And many of you are missing it. The BEST LIFE you have yet to live is standing right in front of you, but you're too busy focused on everything else going on, yet to come, and already passed.

It's time to change your focus. Time to reset and transform your thought process. Nothing can progress and move forward when you are constantly looking behind you. Anything in your past is meant to be exactly where it is at.....YOUR PAST. And your Destiny and or Future is not something that you need to continuously check for. What is meant to be will be. As long as you live from your TRUE CORE and or TRUE SELF, then meeting your Destiny is inevitable.

Knowledge and Growth is vital. You must find solace living outside of your comfort zone. The best part of life is when you stretch and expand yourself pass what you are used to. Without awareness, being present to the HERE AND NOW is not as easy as it sounds. The funny thing is that as most of you read this, you are saying that you do live in the here and now. And my response to that is, YES, you do have moments when you are living in the moment, but most times that moment is distracted by your thoughts, your cellphone, laptop, iPod, iPad, television, and so forth and so on.

It's time to BE STILL and take inventory of what is truly important. The first thing that should come to mind is YOUR PEACE! And you can't attain the peace you deserve if you are not in the here and now. Present to the very moment you are in, in the very moment you are in it.
YOUR BEST LIFE IS WAITING FOR YOU IN THE HERE AND NOW!! DON'T MISS OUT!!

Living From the True Self

So often we make choices based on our circumstances. Other times we make choices based on what others believe is the best choice. In both of those platforms we are making choices that do not derive from our True Core. We are not living the life that is ours by Divine Right. STOP for one second and just think about what I'm saying. Take inventory of your life, past and present and truly look at the job you once worked or are currently working that you dislike because it's not really what you want to do. Or the relationship you once settled for or are still settling for. The Major you chose in college when you had a true passion for life and how your current job has absolutely nothing to do with that passion you once had that drove your decision making. NOW ask yourself, "What happened? What changed?"    The answer may come automatically and it actually may not be that easy. But once you find the answer, your next step should be towards getting back to or FOR SOME introducing yourself to your TRUE SELF.  The person God intended you to be.
Everyone at one point in time or another has made a choice based on circumstance. Hell we all have responsibilities and families. But, at the end of the day there is a piece of us that feels anxious and empty all at the same time. Leaving us to wonder what is missing? And to make it SIMPLE. YOU are what is missing!! The TRUE YOU has been on the sidelines long enough. It's time to get back in the game!!
So often, we speak life into the life of others and forget to speak it into our own lives. We teach our kids to be themselves and to be leaders and not followers and we constantly ask our friends and partners to "Keep It Real" and "Be Themselves". But, how many of us truly live out those same expectations we place on others? We owe it to ourselves to live from out TRUE CORE. Our TRUE BEING. Our DIVINE ESSENCE.
In order to do that we must Meditate, Pray and Seek growth through knowledge. We must expand our self-awareness and not be afraid to face and accept those Ugly Dark things  about ourself because from Darkness Comes Light!!!
