Embracing CHANGE
It's amazing how life can take the swiftest turn and CHANGE everything you thought to be possible. CHANGE does not always mean the loss of something... CHANGE is a means of creating another way to ACCOMPLISH your goals...

Coming Full Circle
Life is a funny thing sometimes. It's amazing how GOD will bring you full circle, right back to a place where you once were. Leaving you with questions you thought you already had the answers to. A time when you question everything you once knew. It is actually a time of growth and awareness. Just when you think you have it all figured out you realize that you really ain't figured out shit!! LOL.... I find myself taking a step back and actually laughing at the situation. I am aware of the humor that lays within it all. Please don't get me wrong, it is not always a laughable situation, but in that very moment it becomes something that you can't explain, but you definitely understand it. Sometimes I often ask myself if I have made the right choices in my life. I look at where I am, where I've been and where I'm going. Truth is I have many answers, but the only one I can't really find the true answer to, is where I am going. Although I have a plan for where I would like to be GOD has a much different plan for me. I understand that in those moments it is not always about finding the answers to unanswered questions, it is about listening. Coming Full Circle is a life changing process if you are willing to listen.

CHASING MY DREAMS!!
SO I am finally chasing my dreams. I have been a part of this rat race for many and this last year has been the worst. I have sent out over 200 resumes and I can count on one hand the number of interviews I have been on. It is frustrating and deep in my heart I know that I am not a nine to five type person with the lifestyle I live. I need to be flexible and accessible at all times and being restricted to punching a clock day in and day out is NOT my ultimate LIFE GOAL!! I recently my first novel and I am excited. I had no clue which direction to go, but with the help of a GOOD FRIEND, I was led in the right direction. With the knowledge that was bestowed upon me, I have decided to self-publish my first book and really get a BUZZ going out there. I was BLESSED with a plethora of information that was somewhat overwhelming, but I am ready to do what needs to be done. I am excited. I know that this is my DREAM AND MY GIFT. And it is time to stop wasting both my talent and my time. I will definitely keep you call posted. Peace and Blessings!!!

RANDOMNESS
I've got a multitude of thoughts going through my head right now. I had a conversation last week that put some things into perspective for me. I was informed that my book can actually be published within 30 days. And I can publish it myself. I hope and pray that I get the SUPPORT I need from my friends, family, and even those that I do not know. This past year has definitely been a journey, but GOD keeps HIS hand on me at all times. I am forever grateful and indebted to my LORD AND SAVIOUR.
On some other randomness I may be getting a job soon. I am definitely excited about that considering it will be generating some additional funds into my pocket.........
Ok more randomness. As I'm sitting here blogging I get a text about a major move with the Lakers acquiring Chris Paul for Odom and Gasol. Ok now I'm back focused......No I'm not I'm lying. lololol........ So on that note I'm gonna cut it short and get back with you all later!!!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE
It's been a while since I've checked in, but things have been pretty busy. My Nia's basketball season has officially started and its about to be bananas for the next 6 months because after basketball season we go straight into Track season. She has been doing well and of course I am proud of her. I also got accepted into the second year of my Master's program and I am definitely excited. My mom has been up and down, but GOD IS GOOD and I pray for my mom to get better. I am still unemployed. Hell, that could be a whole other blog I could start. I can't even count how many applications I have turned in. It has definitely been frustrating but I keep pushing on. School has done me well and I am glad I stayed with it. I have indeed hit the wall a few times, but I refuse to give up. Besides my family, school is all I really have right now. It keeps me busy and keeps my mind from being idle. You know what they say...IDLE TIME LEADS TO IDLE MINDS... I will definitely be checking in more regularly so STAY TUNED.....

Coming Back Home
My mom has been home now going on three weeks. It has been a joyous time for the family, but I'm not quite sure my mom feels the same way. I wonder sometimes, what is it inside of her that keeps her worrying, when everything around her is okay. She's taking her medicine daily, she cooks meals daily, and her sleep has become much better. My heart goes out to her in ways that I cannot even explain and I wonder often times is there anything that I could be doing different that could make her better. I've prayed many a days and nights for GOD to bring peace to my mom. And although I know that HE has brought her to a place of peace, I wonder if she has realized that as well. It seems as though she worries about not being able to keep up with us. I tell her that keeping up with us is not what her getting better is all about. She can't keep up with my because I am in a Master's program and my baby is travelling all over achieving Great things. What she needs to be focused on, is her getting better for her. She needs to understand that we will all be fine, and we have been fine for quite some time now. Bria has graduated and is now furthering her education in college and I am continuing on with my studies as well. I have also maintained the house as best as I can. I pray for her to be in a good place and gain the understanding that GOD has HIS hand on us and we will be fine. My mom was someone whose FAITH was astounding, and now it's as of her FAITH has been diminished by this journey we call life. In time GOD heals all things and I know that my mom will be fine. It is not up to me, it is up to HIM!! When HE sees fit, HE will do what needs to be done!! IN JESUS NAME I PRAY!! AMEN
Maintaining My Own Sanity
As I spend time informing others of the importance of maintaining peace of mind, I often forget about my own. It has been said that those who give the best advice rarely take heed to their own words. I must admit, I too am a victim of that very theory. These last few weeks have been very hard for me emotionally, but I remain strong, trusting that MY GOD will continue to covet and bless me as only HE CAN!! I have definitely been down a long travelled road, full of highs and lows, and ups and downs. My daughter had an ASTOUNDING OLYMPIC RUN, coming home with not 1 but 2 GOLD MEDALS AND SHE EVEN BROKE THE AAU NATIONAL RECORD, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE. I AM DEFINITELY A PROUD MOM!!! She has also began her journey into high school. I am proud and nervous at the same time. But, I know that she will do well. For me, I am coming up on 1 year of being in my Master's program. I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. I have a year left of class and about 6 months of intern that must be done. I can't wait to get my feet wet, but I am such a perfectionist, I just hope that I make my profession proud. I want to make a difference. I love what I do and knowing that what I do can enhance someones life. But, before I can help others with the struggles of everyday life, I must make sure that I first am ok. I cannot help someone else if I cannot help myself. It is ok to say that I AM NOT PERFECT!! Because truthfully NO ONE IS!! As long as I continuously recognize the things that are going on in mu life, GOOD and BAD, then I will be able to be the BEST that I can be for not only myself , but for my clients as well. I THANK GOD everyday for the small things and REJOICE in the things to come.

GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!
These past 2 and a half weeks have been the best weeks of my life. My baby has been on her journey towards winning two GOLD medals for the Junior Olympics. And of course SHE DID THAT!! Her first adventure took her to Wichita, Kansas for the USATF Junior Olympics. During that journey she cam home with the GOLD medal. From there she venture on to New Orleans. I was able to meet her in New Orleans and watch her make history. I can remember it all so clearly. The competition began that Friday morning on August 5th. By 11am my daughter was the AAU NATIONAL CHAMPION and had just set not 1 but 2 NATIONAL RECORDS!! On her third attempt she broke the previous National Record of 49'8", with a throw 50'5". Two attempts later in the Finals round, she obliterated her record with a throw of 51'6.25" and set yet another NATIONAL RECORD... It took everything in me not to cry. I was the proudest mom at that moment and NO ONE could take the feeling away that I had in my heart. NIA SAMON BRITT inspires me to want to be better, to do better, to be the best that I can be for myself and most importantly for her. GOD IS GOOOD AND HE HAS AN AMAZING PLAN FOR MY NIA. I CAN'T WAIT!!
